Cons of Educational Technology

Educational Technology can sometimes be bad. I relate this topic to what it would be like in past. They didn't have technology and got by. I feel like it makes students be lazy because all they do is sit in front of the computer or video gaming. I think the games are great and they do help the child learn, but the child can get hooked on these games and become very lazy.
Some people can relate this to why we have obesity. Every child wants to sit in front of a computer or play video games now. Even if these games are educational, they are getting hooked on these games. Children used to be interested in going out side and running around, but now with the technology games they want to sit and do nothing.

Educational Games

These games allow for fun and exciting learning. At a young age a lot of students are anixous to learn about the computer. In a fun and learning way, you can have your studnet playing online and learning at the same time. This also gives the student a different teacher. You are learning from an online instructor instead of the same person everyday. I believe students like a little change in their life. I can remember going to school and having something different to look forward to everyday. Now, with technology we can allow for different and fun activities!

Intergrating Technology

Anymore in schools rely on technology, basically to run thier school. Teachers do lesson plans in a database. Now our school has a finger printing device so they don't have to deal with money at lunch. The student just puts their finger over a screen and the money is taken straight from their account. In the future we will be dealing with more advanced technology and our schools will have to adjust. They are already intergrating it into the classrooms.
The elmo and smart boards are already a great device for schools. It will be amazing to see what the next technology they have to offer is going to be. I can remember the overhead being sweet, then it changed to the smart board. I am anxious to see what is giong to come after. Its crazy to think how technology has change in the past couple years.
